We had the priviledge of helping Chris and Kelsey celebrate their wedding day on June 16th of 2012 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A lot of the details for the reception were handled through their wedding planner, Christina, from Classic Events Coordination and Design. They had our DJ/MC service and uplighting package.
Chris, Kelsey, and Deb, Kelsey's mother, were fun and easy going, which made it very easy to work with them in the months prior to the reception. They had some specific things that they wanted throughout the night, which always make the reception experience more personalized for all.
Chris wanted to do a "Scotch Box Toss" instead of a garter toss and he didn't go cheap on the scotch! He bought a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label whiskey and tossed the empty box to the single men and whomever caught it got the bottle that went inside.
Kelsey and Chris also had a picture frame with their names and date of their wedding on it to give to the winner of the Anniversary Dance. After the reception they would get the picture printed of the couple married the longest and themselves to put into the frame.
The amount of energy that Chris and Kelsey's friends and family had all night long was amazing. They had a lot of fun dancing and had some great requests through the night. It was a great night, and I was glad to be a part of it!
